Discovered in 1977 with the 206/8-1a exploration discovery well, Clair is located 47 miles west of Shetland in approximately 140 metres of water.
Development of the Clair reservoir is a ‘phased development’. The first phase- ’Clair Phase 1 Development’ targets the Core, Graben and Horst segments of the southern area of the reservoir. It comprises a single steel jacketed platform with integrated topsides deck.
Production commenced in early 2005, with peak production expected to be approx. 60,000 bbls/day.
As part of this project, Zeta-pdm Ltd undertook the design, engineering, trial assembly and supply of the new separation internals for ten (10) off separator vessels, five (5) horizontal separators, four (4) horizontal scrubbers and one (1) vertical scrubber.
