The Britannia gas / condensate field development is one of the largest and most significant in the UK; with first production achieved on 3rd August 1998. The Britannia Field is a gas condensate reservoir which lies approximately 210km northeast of Aberdeen and the platform is located in UKCS Block 16/26.

During 2006 an additional steel four-legged platform (known as the BLP) was connected to the original Britannia platform by 92m bridge. This now receives gas condensate and oil from the Callanish and Brodgar fields, which is all routed through the Britannia MP Separator V-0202, prior to pumping through the condensate export system.

As part of this project, whilst supplying separation internals for a number of new build vessels, Zeta-pdm Ltd undertook the design, engineering, full mock build, supply and installation supervision, of the separation internals for the critical revamp and upgrade of the existing MP Separator V-0202.
